>Target Toy Deals with Price Matching!

I wanted to give you all a reminder and a heads up that the Target Semi-Annual Toy Clearance Sale will be starting soon.  In the past, this sale typically starts the very last week of July.  It is in-store only and is NOT advertised.  You have to go to the store or call and see when those 70% off clearance signs have gone up.

So why am I telling you now??  Two reasons:

#1: I wanted to make sure you had enough notice to make plans to get over there next week.  The toys go fast!  In years past, the sales have started on July 26th, 27th, 28th or 29th.  It just depends.  And to make it even more unpredictable, each store will start at a totally different time. So you could go to one store who has started early and the next closest store to you might not start for a few days.

#2:  Target should be marking down a lot of toys right now… you should probably see 30% off and might even see 50% off.  Is it as good as 70% off?  No.  BUT– there are people whose sole purpose is to buy every 70% off toy on the shelf and re-sell them on eBay for a profit.  So unless you are super lucky, it can be really hard to get any of those 70% off items.  So that is why I am recommending you might want to go BEFORE the actual Semi-Annual Sale and get toys 30%-50% off instead.  It’s better to get a discount on the toys your kids really would want than not get any toys at all, right??

**Tip:  Make sure to use the Target scanners placed all over the store.  Sometimes the marked price will actually be higher than it really is.  It’s always a fun surprise to find out that the item you wanted is even cheaper than expected.

When you do notice your Semi-Annual Sale has started at your Target store, make sure to leave a comment with the location address so other readers know too! (This is a GREAT time to grab toys for Christmas… or even toys to donate for Secret Santas!)

  3. Ha ha that’s why I saw two ladies at the Redwood Target in West Jordan, literally Clearing the shelf once. I could barely look for a single good toy they were acing like they were playing defense on a football field! I would feel guilty making a buck that way.

  4. I was at the South Jordan Target at The District 2 years ago when they did this and by the time I got there in the morning, 2 ladies had taken every toy that was 70% off the shelves across the way into an aisle by the electronics and were blocking it off so no one could take anything while they loaded them into carts. Target really needs to get this under control somehow.

  6. Rockwall, TX Target has their stuff marked down but it’s hidden with all the other toys. You kind of have to search. Also, they are doing their toy sale…buy any toy get 40% off the 2nd toy. You can use this in conjunction with the clearance. I was able to get Anna and Elsa singing barbie dolls for $14.36 for the both of them!
