I don’t usually post about things like this because there truly are so many people to help and so many causes to help.  But, this one really got my attention.

Ashley, the blogger behind Make It and Love It (a crafting blog), recently posted about a friend of hers who had to amputate their baby’s leg due to a medial condition.  He is only 13 months… and what a little fighter!  His surgery was yesterday and it looks like he is doing great.  But they will need to fit him with a prosthetic leg… and will probably have to do it a few times as he gets bigger.  And yep, you guessed it, they are expensive!!

Why am I all telling you this?  Because prayers have hard reaching effects!  And, when people work together, small miracles can happen.

Ashley is using her Crafting Blog as a way to help earn money for her friend to pay for this little boy’s prosthetic leg. She creates all types of sewing patterns- including this cute Little Boy’s Tie pattern. She has made all of them 50% off.  So instead of $6.00 per pattern, they are only $3.00.  Plus, they can be emailed to you!  So no waiting for them in the mail. (Deal only valid through tomorrow, 1/13)

First of all, I don’t know Ashley.  But I can say that I admire her for coming up with a way to help her friend!  It’s savvy, smart and most of all tells you how good of a person she is.  The family didn’t ask for help- although they truly need it.

I will be purchasing patterns myself to help this little family!  Feel free to do the same to help this family out.  Working as a big group like Freebies2Deals can make such a big difference.

You can read the updated blog post from Ashley.  And, you can read more about the little boy and his amputation here.

(Thanks Lindy!)
