  3. My daughter does the same thing. We’ve requested this in the past and it totally depends on the kid. We’ve found that with our daughter bribes like getting a sticker on a cool homemade Disney sticker chart or a penny to go into a special bank work well. Just set a timer for every hour for a day or two and gradually increase the time between trips, be dedicated and it actually works really well surprisingly

  5. my mother-in-law used to say as long as your child is not handicapped they wont be wearing diapers when their 18. Learning to go potty is 1 thing a child can control. Mom controls all the rest of their life so many times this becomes a power struggle. Relax and dont take it personal if your child is past the age your friends kids are trained Each child is different. I have 3 adult children so Ive already gone through this. My first was pretty easy .She was trained by 2 1/2. They were all 2 years apart so I had 8 years of diapers!!. My son #2 was harder, when he was 2 everyone said I should teach him but he didnt even understand that pee came out So I just let him take his time My youngest daughter was 3 before she was ready, even then they used diapers at night. We didnt have pull ups and Im not sure Id want to use them because they might get confused. Sometimes bowel movements are the hardest, sometimes it helps if they can call grandma and she praises them The biggest thing to remember is dont let friends and relatives try to force you to train them before they are ready because both of you will be frustrated. Running them to the bathroom every hour justs frustrates everyone. But as they are going along you should remind them to go. Sometimes when kids are playing get so involved that they forget to go and have accidents. I hope this helps
